Lean Into Vegan is a cookbook featuring twelve vegan recipes, organized into four meals, each consisting of one appetizer, one entrée, and one dessert. The concept for this cookbook was inspired by my journey as a vegetarian looking to incorporate more vegan meals into my diet. The design uses a color palette of earthy tones, complemented by illustrations in a heavy line art style, creating simple, two-dimensional patterns.
The cookbook employs two different page layout styles to add variety and maintain visual interest. Each meal begins with a cover page that features illustrations of the ingredients needed for the three recipes of the meal. The layout for each recipe page is designed to be straightforward and easy to follow, with lines separating each section: the ingredient list, instructions, and nutritional information. A personal note opens and closes the cookbook, highlighting the personal connection I have to the recipes.
