During my time as a contracted designer at Eastview Christian Church, one of my largest projects was creating graphics for the 12-week sermon series—Practicing Jesus. The visual concept had been established prior to my joining the team, so my role was to extend this concept across a variety of formats, including volunteer badges, atrium banners, connect cards to promote small groups, promotional magnets, and journals.
One of my key contributions was designing the series icons. These icons were hand-drawn in Procreate and refined in Illustrator. The Eastview team requested simple, clear visuals to represent each week’s theme, and I delivered a cohesive set of icons that communicated these ideas in a clean and engaging way.
I also designed the landing page for the series, collaborating closely with the IT team responsible for development. We worked together to ensure the design was aligned with the overall concept for the series, and feasible within a tight timeline.

For the Global Teams kickoff event at Eastview Christian Church, I designed a series of promotional materials that combined photography from recent mission trips with bold typography to highlight upcoming opportunities. The focus of these designs was the photography—with the primary goal of visually conveying the authentic, positive experiences of past participants.
Although the content requirements—event details and featured images—were defined, I had full creative freedom in developing the visual direction. This presented the challenge of crafting something recognizable and exciting, yet distinct from the previous year’s graphics. I also needed to ensure the layout was easily editable by non-designers so that new photography could be added throughout the year.
Final deliverables included digital signage for atrium screens, social media graphics, a large promotional banner, and kiosk frame designs for the Global Teams counter at Eastview.
